I have one and I just did a price match. Customer service adjusted my price. I can't imagine not having one. These things are a lifesaver for anyone that works on their own cars. This is for the 7,000 model!

Just a disclaimer: I am not making a penny from deal post. I couldn't justify so much money for a jack until I got it. I got it from Home Depot with the expectation to return it for a full refund. After jacking 2 cars, I regret not getting this sooner. This is worth it if you do your own work. It will save your back and pay off after 2-3 uses. I do not have any vehicles that is over 5k lbs but I went with this model because cars are not going anywhere soon, but electric cars are coming. They are and will be heavy because of the batteries. I planned for the near future, that is why I recommend the 7k model.

I have the 5000 model purchased from Costco on sale for $1K several months ago. I Couldn't be happier.

With that said if I was strictly looking at how long it would take to pay for itself by doing my own oil changes and brake services then I would not have purchased the Quickjack as I would struggle to justify it. I do use it for oil changes, brakes and other routine services and the quickjack just can't be beat unless you have the ability to install a regular 2 or 4 post lift.

Where the Quickjack really pays off is when I am doing something and I need to get all four wheels off the ground. I can do it in about 3 or 4 minutes with the Quickjack where jacking the car one corner at a time takes me a good 30 minutes. Also, when I have the vehicle on the Quickjack I can raise and lower the vehicle in just a matter of seconds to make it easier to work from underneath or from above. I feel as if the vehicle on the QuickJack is much more stable than on jackstands and I have no hesitation getting under the vehicle when the Quickjack is in its locked position.

I recently had to replace the electronic water pump in my BMW 335i and the Quickjack simply made getting the car up in the air so much easier and higher than I could have using 4 jack stands. For those that are on the fence and can afford it you won't be disappointed.
It uses the frame rails like most shop lifts. It fully unloads the suspension.
Ya, one thing that's ultra nice though is for dad garages. I do all my own work, but I've got the open bay where I keep my car about 20" from the wall and crap all around. It's a huge pain in the rear with a 4 foot jack handle trying to get the thing in the air.

Is there a minimum raise that locks? Low garage ceiling plus full size truck doesn't give much wiggle room.

Are you under 7k? I know my dually is heavier, but from what I've seen some of the newer half tons have curb weights over 6k.

I made a statement.

They make a 12v version which is the one I want, so this deal is a no go for me
Why do you want the 12v? More portable because you can just use it with a battery?

12V are hefty too unless the battery sits on with the pump unit on some sort of roller kart.

So how many oil chnage brake service or other home doable car service before this pays for itself?
Depends on the situation, if you do your own transmission work for example then fairly fast, however I can see this being useful for someone with 3 or 4 cars in the driveway (wife, kids, etc) constantly working on something as you mentioned. I only maintain 2 cars and it seems like I'm under a car every other month or so for something or another. I would get this if I was restoring a classic car for sure though.

i wish i had one of these, they fold up so small. I just don't know if I can warrant spending that much when I jack up a car 3-4 times a year.
