I had purchased and returned this. The screen (TN panel) didn't look very nice, with washed out colors and pretty terrible viewing angles. On the other hand, I upgraded someone's Acer Aspire 5 ($269 on Prime day, $309 now on Amazon) and the screen (IPS panel) looked much better. Even now at a 20% higher cost than this Vivobook, I think the Aspire is a better deal.

If for some reason it is defaulting to a non-Amazon seller, make sure to choose to buy from Amazon on this list: https://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-l...B07RF1XD36

Thanks for the suggestion. I noticed they also have the Acer aspire 5 with the Intel core i3 for $379... Is it worth the extra money over the AMD Ryzen 3?

This screen does worry my on the Asus. Acer makes some solid laptops IMO, and I always see hate towards them. I remember back around 2011 my sister bought an Acer Chromebook and it made it a solid 4 years of a young teen throwing it around and such (would've been longer, but the battery finally went out and my parents I guess figured it was "dead" lol). I have had an Aspire E15 and for the price, the screen and performance is great. Used it my final year in college and had no complaints.

Ryzen 3 is actually better than that Core i3. CPU performance is comparable but graphics performance is way better.

Looks like this would make a somewhat decent budget 720p gaming laptop from the performance videos I'm seeing online. Low 720, but, it's cheap.
