my M04S came in today, so i'll put it's thru it's paces overnight.
i paid $9.87 (no tax or ship) just a week ago shipped CA=>NY
after years ago paying a premium for a sennheiser and beats
i'm now done with name brands as in the long run they are
not any more durable, and sound quality depends more on the
source than the headset, so i would rather risk getting these
disposable nonames.
so i'll update this post with a "review" but i doubt it will be
any more insightful that most of the amazon reviews already
posted on the M04 (i have no idea if the S means anything).
the M04S suits me as i prefer fold flat headsets that cup my ear
i don't need active noise suppression. BT4 or 5 is important for
the battery runtime, and the wired aux is a nice backup option.
one design gimmick is the top head padding is on both sides
of the crossover bar, so it's half as effective as it may appear.
the red side is not fabric, it's just more plastic leather, so it may
flake apart off in a year or two like most check crap headsets.
like a lot of chinese gadgets, these are suited for asians so if
you have a freakishly large head or ears, don't buy the S04S.
once these are fully charged i'll test them tonight on;
a7 phone and fire4k which has premium sound and BT4
win10 BT2 pc for audio playback and discord conversation.
on all but the fire4k i'll test them both BT and wired on the
off chance i notice a difference, but it's unlikely to be one.
i own name brand headsets, so it should be a fair hearing.
UPDATE: disappointing music playback
simulated bass, muffled mid-range make your
music sound like you're listening inside a tunnel,
this also flattens speaking voices of news channels.
(compared to a typical 100w THX 2:1 speaker system,
my other headphones have very clear mids and highs)
as expected wired or using bluetooth has no quality effect.
i tested wired (via htmi2) and bt4 off a firestick 4k playing
thru VEVO app and YouTube app the same music videos.
pairing was fast but not intuitive, so keep the manual handy,
button placement is terrible as they don't feel distinct at all.
2.4k charge out of the box took under an hour (red light out)
will keep it going till it dies to test actual runtime use hours.
BT range is good, works same area as my roverbeats speaker.
pro tip: because these cups are pleather, you may want to
try cotton toe socks which not only make these comfortable
for long wear, but help reduce the awful mid-range echo.
battery is still playing 6 hours after a full charge,
i'll keep it going overnight to see if it can 12 hour.
g'morn - hour 20 and audio still playing strong,
this confirms it's actually using BT4 & Li battery.
that fact alone makes it worth the $9 even if the
durability and sound quality are disappointing
I've had 3 pairs. They break at the adjustment point within a few months. Every set of mine has. I have a big head, but might grab a set for son to mow and see if they break too.
Based on every pair of mine breaking, I would agree.

Has anyone used these? The reviews are pretty mixed. Some people love them, lots of people don't. The price is tempting, but if they are crap quality, they're probably not worth the hassle.

OK for music but voices are kinda muddied if using for tv listening which is what I wanted them for. (IMO)

I use (ausdom M06) them everyday, deep bass and good sound... the only issue i see is no noise cancellation at all... (it is not meant for that but just saying) i bought another one with this deal.. i was really hoping a deal would come up on ANC8 or ANC10..
For $6 its very much worth
