| Product Name: | Technivorm 59616 KBG Coffee Brewer, 40 oz, Polished Silver |
| Product Description: | The Moccamaster KBG coffeemaker features a glass carafe and an automatic drip-stop brew-basket that stops the flow of coffee if the carafe is pulled away. The KBG brews a full 40oz pot of Coffee in six minutes. Coffee is then held on our unique hot-plate- which is engineered with a separate, independent element that rolls heat into the coffee to ensure an even taste from the first cup to the last drop. The hot-plate has two settings, giving you the choice to hold your coffee between 175° and 185° F, while never burning your Coffee. After 100 minutes, The hot-plate will automatically turn-off. All Moccamaster coffeemakers are handmade in the Netherlands and backed by an industry leading 5-year. |

Since the Moccamaster has a physical on/off switch, I have mine plugged into a wifi smart plug so I can turn it on remotely with Alexa when I wake up (I know it goes against the recommendations of Technivorm to always use fresh water and grinds).
I ended up getting a "refurbished" unit from Newegg a little while back way more than what it has listed here, came in looking brand new without blemishes wouldn't surprise me if I ended up with a new open box.

The Breville machine will make espresso, not coffee. I have both and unless you're specifically interested in making iced espresso beverage or quality drip coffee, you should get a cold brew pitcher. Way cheaper. Just pair it with a quality Burr grinder and you'll be set.
This is a good response. Espresso maker and this coffee machine are making completely different drinks. At the end of the day they can be used to make an iced coffee drink, but there's better options if that's what you want
I had the thermal carafe version and can say the glass one yields a much better brew
Some folks pour the extra off into an inexpensive Contigo thermal mug and that works well. I watched this funny youtube video just before I bought mine

But, I usually just drink one or two mugs at a time, so it's less of an issue for me, and it is really hard to justify another couple of hundred dollars.
They do make great coffee, and otherwise, these coffee makers are excellent overall.
