Agreed.
There are plenty of 4K deals going on lately to make this a pass
This 50" 4K Insignia is just $50 more: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/insi...Id=62457
Heck, Sharp even has their 50" 4K priced at just $50 more: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/shar...Id=63195
Same. BF 2017. $180. Purchased a few about 2 weeks before and price matched em via Citi's soon to be discontinued benefit. Paid a few extra dollars in tax. Beats waiting in line for 10 hours.

My 1080p bedroom TV looks just as good as my living room 4k TV.
The primary visible difference between 4K and 1080p content is the Chroma resolution.
From a distance the Luma-resolution 1080p vs 4K, it's not that obvious.
However, on Textures, the boost in Chroma-Resolution makes it much sharper.
Textures like Text/ Brick walls/ Stone Outcrop/ Sheer fabric/ fabric in general all look way clearer on 4K content.
Yeah you got the better deal not having to camp in front 😂.. overall I am very pleased with this model.
It blows tcl series 4 out the water very far as I had jumped on 50 inch for 240 even with 2year warranty .
Returned it dueto hdr was horrible and for a front room tv it was not bright.
I can't believe I haven't seen it drop this tv drop to that price in the last two years . I think 250 has been the lowest .
So your looking at 250+25Tax+25 2 year warranty. Still not a bad deal tho.
All my life I've had 32inch tv and now that I've moved up I'm never going back I kinda feel I wanna go bigger for front room and 50 is good for bedroom
Honestly I have seen some good 1080s in Samsung but I wouldn't pass up taking a look at this TV before making your mind up .
Price wise here alil steep. Guess it depends on how bad you need a new tv/upgrade and there have been so many deals on 4k TVs this year's .
And from 1080p to 4K.
With a 180 difference:

Which would you pick?
