The ICE version is the cheapest version, but it uses the same microphone elements. The only difference is that the ICE version only has one capture mode, while the original Snowball has three.

The three capture modes on the original Snowball are:

Cardioid
Cardioid with -10 dB PAD
Omnidirectional

The ICE model only supports Cardioid. Cardoid is the mode you would use in a standard office environment while sitting in front of the microphone. In other words, it's the only mode most people will ever use with these microphones anyway.

The -10 dB mode is a hammer headed simple compression that will allow louder sounds without clipping--you typically won't use this mode anyway.

Omnidirectional allows capture of sounds to the sides and behind the microphone. So this would be useful, in theory, if you are using the Snowball with a group of people sitting around the table with the Snowball in the center. In practice, the Snowball isn't all that great in this mode, and if that's the situation you will be using the microphone for, look into the Blue Yeti instead--far better for omnidirectional pickup.

So, most people will use the Snowball in Cardioid mode, and in that case, the Snowball and the Snowball ICE are effectively identical.
Pics and item description both show the non-ICE version, so they'll be getting a charge-back if it's a bait and switch 🤷 ♂️
I have a feeling this is actually the "snowball iCE" model which is a newer cheaper version that does not have the Three Different Pattern Modes available in the regular blue snowball. It has a MSRP of $49.99 and sells at staples for $39.99. I could be wrong but, might want to be prepared for that possibility especially since they are not giving the same deal on the black version.

Would have preferred black, but this is a good price and it'll probably get covered by a wind screen anyway.

Not sure if the deal expired, but while I see the coupon for free shipping, I don't see the SD prices anymore.

Buydig has an entire separate item page for the Snowball Ice, which has no sale going on, so I doubt this is an error like you're suggesting (https://www.buydig.com/shop/product/BLMSBICEWH)

I think it only applies to the white one, and you have to "clip" the coupon on the product page.

Oh that's weird. It worked this time. However no free shipping to Hawaii like so many deals. 😭

Got this for around the same price from the adorama deal a few weeks ago. It's great!

This is not a professional quality microphone and it doesn't require a wind screen. It's a good microphone when seen as a step up from the microphone in a laptop.

I use these microphones in my desktop setups and they work very well, are reliable, and install painlessly and automatically.

$39 is a pretty good price for a new one.

I've had one for YEARS that I bought at $50, and I've been extremely satisfied. This thing is super durable, and still takes great quality recordings. Buying another on general 'backup' principle.

Just something to keep in mind: this is NOT the ice version. The ice version is actually the worse of the two types of snowballs. I got it thinking it was the better one a few years back, but it sounded like I was talking through a tin can connected with a string
