Well, that Troy-Bilt Neighborhood Rider 30" is $1,200, so there's that.

The $1200 is for the engine variant. The electric one is much pricier.

I guess it went up in price since I bought it several years ago... I paid $799 (regular coupon) and retail price was $899 at lowes... I was ball parking it at the retail price with the price the TB was when I bought it.. At the time, no one bought anything at lowes without a generated coupon.. a little harder to find now.

No need for time machine comments. Honest mistake by not looking at the current price.

Follow the thread. He was giving someone a hard time who said the engine model was three times cheaper.

The problem is you cannot buy an extended warranty from their site and you can from Home Depot. Also, for the price difference of 400 is not that great to be refurbished. I would rather spend 400 to get something that has not been tinkered with as there may be other undiagnosed and unresolved issues. I am waiting for Veterans Day as this sometimes goes on sale for 200 off the 2,200 price at Home Depot. Also for this steep of a price I will get whatever the longest extended warranty they have available as recently got screwed on a Lowes wash machine.

Not sold in store so cannot get vet discount online.

Price went up to $2400 at HomeDepot a couple weeks ago. And just now the refurb has gone up to $1950. Looks like they adjusted their pricing Frown
