Available again @ Costco.com for Costco members (this deal gets repeated with some frequency, so it's here if you missed it last time and will likely be back again)

$89.99 MS Office 365 Home 15 months for 6 users
https://www.costco.com/.product.100462462.html

FWIW, I use this mostly for storage--you get 6TB for 15 months for only $89.99.

The only downside is that you have to create different OneDrive accounts (i.e. you can't combine the storage into one 6TB account). So I have OneDrive backup accounts for our photos and videos, FLACs and MP3s; blu-rays; and PC drive images, etc.

You can buy up to 3 of these.

The Microsoft Office Suite (Stand alone version) has a lot more features/bells/whistles than the 365 version. For pro users, the stand alone will be a better choice.
If you're comparing Office 365 Home to stand-alone Office 2019 Home, then you are incorrect. Office 365 Home gives you Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access and Publisher, OneDrive account, Skype credits. Office 2019 Home stand-alone only gives you Excel, Word, and Powerpoint.

I am not convinced of the the safety and security of Office 365. It is one vulnerability away from a shit storm of a disaster. Companies will go bankrupt over night if trade secrets are leaked. Peoples lives will be over turned over night. This software as a service model is doomed.
Not sure what you're talking about here, so I can't comment.

I used the stand-alone products and still do, but the 6TB for $90 a year (or even 15 months) is a great value for me.

They don't store your emails, it's just for the software. You are welcome to encrypt and store your data on cloud or not use cloud storage at all. Your email is still one exchange server and on your desktop. Do you even use this service?

It's just to get people to pay annually vs 1 time on 1 PC that you would otherwise lose the license if you had to reinstall the OS.

Good price for a 15 month subscription. Just keep in mind that this is the every day price at Costco and not a "sale" price.

The stand alone version comes with a tin foil hat.

1 Tip for getting the full 6TB on one account.

Create separate a/c. Now on that a/c create a folder and then share the folder with the primary a/c.

Now the primary ac will have full read write access on the secondary a/c folder (full 1 TB). You can do this for all the the rest of secondary a/c.

I also read this on google and did it once, so plz google for the right steps.

Unless you use online storage. Nobody gives 6TB for 15 months for $90 + Office apps.

Amazon has 1 year of Office 365 Home for $79 [amazon.com]. The last time I put in a 12 month code, I was asked if I wanted to switch to auto-renew to receive an extra 3 months. (I could then stop auto-renew and put in the next code to receive the same offer.) If that's still working, the Amazon deal will save you $10. And during BF, the Amazon price was $59.

Office 2019 home and Student is $123 at Amazon. That's for one device. The Office 365 Home subscription allows for 6 different people. The limit used to be 10 devices per person. Now, I think it is unlimited. But even if you had just 8 devices across the group, that would be $984 to license using the perpetual version.

So, subscription can make sense in this instance. Now Office 365 for businesses is limited to one subscription per user. I think getting the perpetual version there is often a better choice. But this home edition is a different value. The slick deal is that Amazon had the subscription for $59 during BF. That's $10/year when split among the 6 people.

For power excel users the standalone is a better than o365. The performance with complex spreadsheets is atrocious.

Use o365 at work and mostly hate it.
