HPs supply chain is a borderline joke, which is why those wait times can be lengthy... they are optimistic estimates. Most PCs are drop shipped from China.
3 week build date is AT LEAST 3 weeks, and usually 5-6.
If you need it by X date and its delayed, forcing you to buy elsewhere on a whim you CANNOT CANCEL any order beyond 1hr past original time. If you do have to cancel due to delays you will have to wait until its delivered (eventually) then request RMA to ship back. Once they receive it they will issue a refund that MAY include restocking fees. This means a $ charge will be sitting on a credit card for at least a month and you'll have to have available creditline to charge whatever laptop needed to buy in the meantime.
I'm not bashing HP but just trying to make folks aware.
I just ordered a Envy 360 and it was delayed so many times the replacement next gen processor was released and was cheaper.
In my case - I had the credit line and time to wait for a reorder but I'm sure some buying for school or gifts may not.
If you know what you're getting into... it's a great deal. Based on some negative reviews complaining about customers being charged restocking fees after weeks of delays, it seems many DO order expecting better level of service and policies.
In my case I was charged no restock fees, but that might be because I was reordering.

You may say that there are some cheap Asus Vivobook laptop with very less weight but the reason is Asus has cut open the battery capacity to 30 WHr to some of them.
Nevermind....
yeah, I can barely pick up these heavy smartphones they're making! they're getting too big!

4.25 lbs. If you travel constantly, every lbs counts.
Also, you can save 30 bucks by choosing the model without dedicated MX250. This is a pretty customizable laptop and if you think dedicated GPU isn't needed, just configure accordingly.
