think of it this way - the manufacturer isn't going to put in 8gb of ram if the processor isn't even powerful enough to make use of it (and vice versa).

Any recs on which to port from?
So were on the 4 for $100 plan and I want to replace 2 phones. Who do I purchase ebay numbers from? Then after port do i just put old sims in new phones. Not quite sure on right steps? Will the phones end up costing $55 plus $7?

After the port discard the new sim cards and put in your old sim cards. Should be about $14 + tax for 2 $7 phone numbers to port from ebay and $55 each phone from Cricket.
Anything but At&t ( they own cricket) needs to run on Sprint/T-Mobile or Verizon towers.
