I think adorama is the easiest site to search and navigate to see all the price drops

Best bang for the buck lens? Was originally going to get sony 85mm 1.8 for my A7iii or Samyang. Any of these better? Portraits or 35mm for cars/all purpose

absolutely no reason whatsoever to go with batis over sony 85 if that is the FL youre going for. get gmaster if anything. if not, sony 85

Maybe sigma or Samyang/Rokinon. Zeiss is good, but definitely not bang for the buck.

Having used Batis, Sony and now Rokinon. I would highly recommend Rokinon 85/1.4. Its the best portrait lens in terms of size, weight, price and IQ.

If only there was a Batis 135/1.8 or 2.0...

Why buy a prime that's 2.8 in the middle of the 70-200 focal length.

Even a 2.5 would be bragging rights at least gg

Means that the lens isn't fast enough to compete with the 135gm or sigma 135.

there is the argument that not everyone needs or shoots at max aperture, or if they want bokay they should get an iPhone too of course

I currently have a mint Batis 85mm 1.8 up for sale on DPR and locally online though it's very difficult to let go of it. I used it as my #1 studio portrait lens but also got the 85 GM so no longer use the Batis.

IMO the Batis is like a Ferrari and the GM is like a Bentley. Two different vibes but both at the very top in quality. The Batis might eve be a tiny bit sharper than the GM.

For size, speed and handling the Batis is the best 85mm option on FF E Mount. For Bokeh - the GM.

PM if you would like a link to my Batis 85 samples.

I have a Tamron prime macro that I sent in after 5 years to have adjusted - great warranty of 6 years, then they contacted me to make sure everything was fine....
"3. Print a copy of Tamron's Six-Year Limited USA Warranty" http://tamron-usa.com/reg/Welcome.php

ZEISS grants a warranty period of two years from the date of purchase for all its photographic lenses. This may be extended to three years after registering with ZEISS Online Registration.

Sony Warranty 1 ONE year....
