This has that hard plastic wheel, doesn't it? I've tried and I just can't do that wheel as it just doesn't "perform" for some reason. I know they make mods to replace those but I wish they would do that from the factory. I think a rubber grippy lined wheel would have made all the difference on this line.

From what I can tell at Best Buy the "regular" SEs are 3366 sensors not Hero.

Depends on your son. It's one of the best gaming mice in terms of performance, but people either love or hate it depending on if they enjoy a wide and heavy mouse or a narrower/lighter mouse
