I know it's not for everyone, but pretty decent price for someone considering Cricket wireless and wants a legit phone at a good price. Family plans are 4 lines for $100 with unlimited data.. (throttle at somepoint)
I got on this last year. So the deal is basically back. I added it to my existing account. Just never activated. I let it lapse. I think I got my $50 monthly fee added as credit at some point. But I had to do a throwaway port number from ebay.. That cost me about $5.00. You basically buy an imei for a tmobile sim card, but never get the card. They usually deliver those in 10 minutes online. Then made a tmobile account and transferred it all in about 2-3 hrs. It's a bit of work. But worth it if you want a Samsung.

was it a s9 for $275? Im guessing they'll be doing a black friday deal hopefully beats this deal, but I thought I'd post for someone desperate.

You don't need to do all this. You can just be a new customer and get a new number from Cricket or an existing customer and add a line to your account.

I'm guessing the promo they're referring to required port, whereas this one does not. Hence the extra work needed before.
So the poster explained this is even better. You don't need to jump through hoops like I did. You can just do a new line and get this discount. The difference for me is I already have 5 lines, I added a 6th line. When I got the phone I had paid for $275+50 one month service. I added it to my 5 line account as a ported in phone. That was the explanation for that ebay fake tmobile line thing. Which you do not have to do at this time. But since I added the line to my 5 line account and never used the service. The $50 service just credited back to my account as a balance against he 5 lines I continue to use.
Restating
1. No port in number needed. So you don't have to make a fake no ATT number.
2. The phone is locked to Cricket, pretty hard to unlock from my understanding.
3. If you have an existing cricket service add the line and never use it, after 2-3 months you get the service fee back. If you do not like cricket service you are stuck eating this monthly fee for the 1 month.

I assume that this would affect a grandfathered 5 line plan and change the pricing?

Not hard at all to unlock. Keep the sim card in the phone for 6 months of service with Cricket (does not matter on which number) and then call or chat to get the unlock code. If you change sim cards during the 6 months, the 6 months time frame will restart.

Most people here are looking for instant unlock. So keeping for 6 months is too expense and defeats the purpose of getting this phone cheap.

People are looking to unlock for their own carrier without 6 months on cricket. So yes, difficult to unlock.
can't you just buy with 30 plan and get it for 305?
