For those unfamiliar with the technology, air "fryers" are a bit of a misnomer. Nothing's actually getting fried (to fry you actually need to submerge the food in hot oil). These are really just super compact convection ovens where hot air is circulated all around the food. They're great for cutting down cooking time of anything you would normally put in an oven (chicken nuggets, cheesy bread, etc.) and great for reheating previously fried foods. For the latter, it never tastes quite as good as when it was freshly out of the fryer, but it gets it dang close.

Also, I do not recommend putting food on foil in this thing. The tray has holes and is there to help circulate the hot air all around including the bottom.

Also note that your cooking time will be drastically decreased when compared to oven cooking times, so take that into account when setting the time and temperature.

Hope that helps someone!
Wow. $10 cheaper than Costco's BF Price!
I have this and love it. Ordering a couple more for gifts.

I don't recall getting TWO crisping trays when I bought mine. That must be a recent change.

As someone who owned the first generation of air fry to the later generation. I advise you guys to buy one that's at least 10qt or more. I have 3qt, 6qt, and 10qt. While they do their job perfectly, they're not roomy enough for a family of 3 or more.

I tried the 20qt - 30qt. My advice is don't. The air-fry technology is not yet there for such a big oven since the fan cannot circulate fast enough in those big machines. While it still do the job but you're looking at least double the amount of time to cook your food vs the smaller machine. That's just a waste of time and electricity.

I bought it like 3 weeks back from the store. Can I price match this somehow or do I need to return and rebuy.
YES ... Costco will adjust a sale price online. No need to go to the store. Search: Price Adjustment at Costco.com

I bought extra accessories from amazon. Like a double rack, skewers, etc. Allows me to cook twice as much on most things but items on the top rack usually cook slightly faster
Can you please link the double rack you mentioned? Thanks

Bought this yesterday and have already used it twice. Its a nice air fryer. Large capacity. Looks nice. Easy to use.

I got one for my mom last sale and she has enjoyed it for over a year now.

Burning plastic smell is already wearing off. They warned us 3-4 times in all the documentation that its normal.

I just picked one up at my local Costco since I was near work. Saved me the cost of shipping. It looks like a lot of people are picking these up. Thanks OP.

I had this and returned for a couple of simple reasons, no removable basket & plastic surround. Instead I bought a bella pro which has both. The removable basket is nice because crumbs and drippings stay in bin while you take out the basket, makes things so much cleaner when serving. Also makes clean up faster. I also think you get better airflow under the food as well. The bella has an aluminum surround which reflects more heat. Both of the both above features make food so much crispier faster. Just my 2cents.

genuine question here: 2 adults and 3 kids (between 1 and 7)

i've hardly seen anyone comment about how they feed their family of "x" amount but the comments have always either been about the durability or their experience with it.

anyone use this to actually feed more than 2 people?

do you make like 10 wings and then have to cook another back of 10 wings in order to feed 3 people?

at what point does using the oven make more sense than using an air fryer?

TIA
Cooking 2 batches will still be much faster than your oven, with a fraction of the clean up, and a huge electricity savings.

Was $49.99 at my local Costco as well. Grabbed one. They had a big stack of them right next to the main entrance. As I pushed the air fryer box in the cart around the store got stopped repeatedly by people asking me how much it was and where they were. One lady accused me of grabbing the last one as she didn't see them in kitchen appliance isle. LOL Told her to check the front where there was a huge stack of them.

It did come with two of the vented crisping trays and the wire rack + skewers.

Grabbed a 8lb bag of frozen fries to try it out in the air fryer. :-)

I bought this about a year ago during a similar sale. The unit works great but there is still a weird plastic smell to it and sometimes carries into the food. Has anyone else encountered this or know how to get rid of it?

How long does the burning plastic smell last? Lot of reviewers seem to mention this.
I've use mine about 20x over the past 8 months, and it still smells when using. Even family members comment about the odor.

I've read it is the silicone pads, but I keep forgetting to test that theory.
