Moto G is still 720p. It's the Power and Stylus that have been upgraded to 1080p.

Honestly though, I feel like the 2024 version has a better chipset despite the lower clock rate (2024: 2x2 GHz A78 vs. 2025: 2x2.4GHz A76).

No but I've used the Moto G 2024 and a phone with similar chipset to the Moto G 2025 (A15 5G Dimensity 6100+ 2x2.2 GHz A76, Mali G57 MC2) for light PS2 emulation. The Moto G 2024 worked better both for CPU and GPU bound instances.

My current Tracfone from QVC is the Samsung A25 with unlimited talk and text, plus 24gb of data for the year. After many years of using 1500 talk,text, and data, I wouldn't want to go back to the "1500" plan. Plus Moto 5g 2025 is reviewed worse than Moto 5g Power 2024. I'm sure there are pluses with the 2025, but the 1500 plan is a no in my option.

That's what I was comparing and the A16 seems like an all around better deal for such little extra money.

Samsung A16 Display: 1080p, 385 PPI (Super AMOLED) vs Moto G 2025: 720p, 262 PPI (IPS)

Samsung: 6 years of Android OS and security updates vs Moto G: 2 Android OS updates, 3 years of security updates

I'm a new customer, so I used COUPQVC25 to drop it another $25. At that price, I think the A16 is a no-brainer over the Moto G 2025.
