Bought this couch a couple of years ago, it broke down in under 9 months. We ended up returning it. Make sure you pay for the white glove delivery service, this ensures they have to come pick up the item from your home disassemble it and take it away. In our case we had to do this a few times before we found the right couch, but we were fully refunded even the delivery fee each and every time.

Do you own this? How long? How's the recliner mechanism? How has the cushion held up? etc.

There is a retail store in Seattle that sells returned Costco items. While this sofa is not on the floor there, they do have at least a couple other power recliner sofas. I was interested and looked at the reviews online, and many people talked about them breaking. It makes me wonder if this is a trend with power recliner sofas in general.

Agreed. Why have a feature that really isn't a benefit for most people? Power to move the foot stool and head rest up? Just another thing to break as one would bet the cheapest power parts are used. Unless you have an issue pulling a handle to put your feet up, I don't see the feature as a feature.

It is called "Discount TopLot" in the Wedgewood neighborhood, north of U District. It was a QFC that went defunct. If you see a lot of certain items for sale, check the reviews online because there is probably a good reason they were returned (i.e. they have lots of a specific fan, and the reviews for that fan are not good). That is the nice thing of most of the items being Costco returns - reviews can still be found. They also do sell some brand new stuff, like unopened couches. Certain items are barely used because people used them once or didn't like them, such as AC units, printers, shoes, pots and pans, etc.
