I am interested in the S5 but the renewed/ refurbs have only 3 months warranty.
Then definitely a Pass for me
I have an S5 and am worried about future support.
I bought renewed from them and it was basically brand new. No issues and the best robotic vacuum I've owned.

I bought the S5 for like $350-400 on prime day this year. Best purchase ever. Super powerful. Runs over my 2"+ shag rug. Great app interface that allows you to view and adjust the mapping of your home etc. After owning what I thought to be a great Eufy brand robo vacuum for a few years, this thing put it to shame. Definitely recommend.
For sucking power, I recently put my laptop(2.5lb) on table with wired cord and roborock literally sucked the cord and pulled my laptop to the floor. The touchscreen was broken but fortunately it still shows fine.
I will try the reconditioned one and hope it can last as good as the new one.
Couldn't agree more.

So are you saying that your s5 is not supported by the app. I've seen many people with s5's (NOT the max) say that its supported very well by the app including full mapping functions, no go zones etc. It also says the s5 is supported in their website. Why do u say it's not supported?
There is a roborock app that the S5 is not supported in. There is a MI app home app that it is supported.
The MI app is crowded, supports all their other types of devices, part of the reason they came out with the newer Roborock app. It doesn't offer the full support of the roborock app, such as programming individual rooms and such, which takes it to another level. The MI Home app does support no go zones and walls, however the newer roborock app is supposed to do additional.
I wished that they did support the S5.
Maybe you should look into it even further.
