It's a loss leader. They sell the CPU/Mobo combo at a loss to get you in the door, and then try to get you to buy the rest of the PC from them in order to make their profit. The CPUs are locked in a glass case even though most of them are way cheaper than the graphics cards that are just sitting out to force you to interact with an associate, who can then encourage you to buy the rest of the PC from them.

It's not necessarily a bad thing, as their prices on everything else are comparable to Amazon/Newegg and their associates are *extremely* knowledgeable. However, it makes no sense for them to allow you to buy a loss leader online when it doesn't even get you in the door.

Best deal is to pair it with the b450 mobo. There is one with wifi for 79 from gigabyte. Comes out to be 129 + 79 - 30 = 179 before taxes. Add cheapo RAm for 54 bucks and cheapo SSd at 50 plus cheapo psu and case. And add 590 or 5700 you, you can get pretty cheap decent gaming desktop for cheap!

You can combine it with a 570x board and after rebate it comes out to $110 😭😭😭 this is not fair. You have a dirt cheap CPU and future proof Mobo for $240!! You can't beat that.
