FYI, some have complained of metal shavings coming off the can, which can potentially get in your food...here is a quote from one of the reviews:

"I purchased this product 2 years ago. At first it was awesome but what I started noticing overtime were metal shavings on my counter after opening cans. Upon further investigation, I noticed lots of metal shavings and discontinued using it for safety reasons. I wouldn't want anyone in my family including the dogs to ingest metal shavings. Definitely would not buy this product for safety reasons."
Doesn't this happen with ALL can openers?

Best electric can opener I've used. My parents own one and I've been waiting on a deal to buy my own. In for one!

I've had two and they both stopped working well enough to use after 18 months or less so I just use the hand ones now but I'm glad others are having better luck

Like everybody else, just love mine, but keep manual opener on hand for canned tuna and salmon - you cannot press the lid into the fish to drain with this electric opener because of the way it is removed.

Does it leave sharp edges?

Mine doesn't. I just used it the other day for the first time. It was such a strange experience.

Thanks for posting . I had a camel price watch set on this Can opener, I don't know why I did not receive any notice

Same here for a previous deal on a bissell big green carpet cleaner. It's because one day sales aren't true price changes, it's more of a temporary price but Amazon shows the actual price on CCC.

For those complaining because you can't use the top to drain tuna with this, all you gotta do is grab the tuna in your hand and squeeze.

wtf. What are the odds that everyone that happens to have this can opener happen to be avid repliers and happen to have seen the deal posted before everyone else.

Anyone else notice how they're using a can with a pull tab to advertise a can opener? Seems like a good product for those who need it, but at least use a regular can in the picture to really drive the sale.

With the recent invention of hand washing and soap, germs are a thing of the past and it's okay to use hands again in food preparation...just kidding. laugh out loud

I think their comment was more tongue in cheek rather than serious.
