    I own this board, not sure why it has so many bad reviews. It was just plug and play for me. I even recommended it to a friend and the same thing 0 issues.

    DOA motherboards are incredibly rare. Its mostly user error or something other incompatible part.

    the x470 prime pro is one of the best x470 board out there for sure, don't know about x570

    Have multiple PCs setup with this board and 3700X, no issues and prompt BIOS updates too. As far as "budget" x570 boards go, this one tops them all.

    I said it was a highly rated X570 budget board. That's a pretty important qualifier. https://www.techspot.com/bestof/a...herboards/

    Most commentary on reddit is very favorable. Not sure what other budget X570 would be preferable...

    I am looking to get a mobo for the 3700x, but have been out of the loop for quite a while. I don't plan on doing any major OCing or need the PCIe Gen4.
    Is it better to go with this board or a b450 board?

    I don't have a definitive answer for you, but I opted for X570 over B450 because of PCI4. I know "future proofing" is a myth, but that's more or less what it came down to for me. Basically the reasons outlined here: https://www.digitaltrends.com/com...-4-matter/

    But I'm absolutely not an expert. Just my uneducated $.02.

    This was the board I was originally looking at for a 3600 build but, boy, those reviews are not encouraging. I'm looking at the slightly-better-reviewed-but-$169 MSI MPG X570 at this point.

    Honestly though, there isn't anything for sale on Amazon that doesn't have some bad reviews and if you dwell on those you'd never buy anything...

    I also have this board currently running with r5 3600. No complain except for that if you have RGB on your memory, those light won't turn off when the computer is sleeping (hibernating and completely off are fine). I read that it is not something ASUS can change but more windows issue. I guess if that's my only complain, you get my point.
