Well it doesn't matter where you purchase it in this case as the sticky ness is from day one and the buttons actually get stuck in the pressed position. I have a video online but can't post atm
They're referring to Costco's return policy, but yes this shouldn't be occurring on a $150+ controller.

Very true! Did they make it longer than 90 days? Also anyone that might do the google express $20 off ordering through Costco for even a better deal....the order won't show in Costco system any issues you'll have to return to google express
Like what? All the reviews I've read really praise this as the best Xbox and PC controller.
My friend an I had the sticky A button I swapped mines out at Microsoft no problems now , my friend returned his because his replacement was still sticking ,bit as much but it was still there
Oh man, why is this one a member's only item this time? I was so stoked to see this back, but I'm not a costco member. I purchased my first Elite Controller from Costco and after 3 and 1/2 years, they are offering me a full refund with my broken controller. I really want to give them my money again after being treated so well. I'd purchase a membership if there was a costco near me. I don't suppose this will eventually come to non-members?
It's possible. They may have limited it to members only this time due to limited supply.

For return purposes it matters quite a bit, but if you have the issue or not usually is not related to where you purchase items like this. I agree the issue shouldn't be happening, but quality control/design seems to be declining for all electronics.

Sticky A and X buttons. Unresponsive face buttons.
Look at the megathread on reddit not some company reviews. I bought two and both have problems.
The sticky buttons can be semi fixed but with $150+ it shouldn't have the issue in the first place.
