These are also available in Fred Meyer for the same price during thanksgiving. So if you have one nearby you have better odds of getting one than a Walmart.

Yeah I still have the series 1 and don't see a huge reason to upgrade. I agree, Series 3 is perfectly fine for most people.

I would love to get these for my kids, especially at this price point but having to charge it every night isn't convenient, so leaning towards fitbit for $90 at Costco during BF sale... those claims to be good for a week with a charge and full waterproof.

Yeah, I upgraded my wife's from a 1 to a 4, because she needs a waterproof model, I splurged for the 4 instead of the 3 just to get an extra year out of it before the next upgrade.
