I was just looking into that too. It said new but only 90 days woot warranty.

Pretty sure this is the grey market international lens. Nikon won't honor warranties on those.

FWIW in terms of comparison, this lens is quite a bit better than the 18-105 kit lens it was designed to replace. Usually lenses with more focal range (in the same price/quality bracket) are softer than lenses with tighter ranges, but this is an exception.
