What is the difference between this and the RAX40. It probably has a cheaper WiFi chip in it.

I did find that it is missing a USB 3.0 port.

I got the netgear router deal last time from Walmart, and it does use cheaper parts and to be honest I have had nothing but issues with the router. I cant say that this will be bad, but I would 2nd guess myself and look at getting an open box Netgear RAX40 for like $140. At least you know what the guts really are.

This BF deal or the Costco Netgear X6S AC3600? None of my devices support Wifi 6 yet.

Costco currently has the AX8 on sale for $199 which is a better deal than both. If that's in your budget I'd go that. Between this deal and the X6C I'd go with this. AX is newer technology so you'll be future proofing your network. Also the X6C seems to have had a ton of connectivity issues.

This does not have WPA3 for security which kills the deal for me.

Being a Walmart exclusive, it may not get firmware updates or will have a sooner end of support date.

Internally, assuming it mimics the rax40, it has an intel dual core proc unlike its big bros with quad-core Qualcomm and Broadcom chips.

Shows 1 USB 3.0 port on Netgear product page. Weird https://www.netgear.com/home/prod...RAX35.aspx

just looking at the pics of this thing I can tell it doesn't have the usb port. This seems like a hard pass for me unfortunately considering the Rax40 has already hit 150.

NVM, can't read.

According to this: https://community.netgear.com/t5/...-p/1823988

RAX40 has USB 3.0, but not RAX35 (which is what this Walmart is).

I have Frontier FiOS 500 Mbps connection and am getting 400+ on wired connection. However, the frontier supplied router is only able to spit out ~175 Mbps at the maximum on WiFi even if I am right next to the router and no other device is connected to WiFi. Would this help increase the WiFi speeds?
