I received the Link in an promotion email from Nero and at the moment 11-14-2019 its valid and can be reused. Don't hate post that Nero is bloatware and has went down hill. Maybe but I used it and it works.

This is a very good deal. For context the previous version 2019 is $99 on Amazon.

Use of the software forever is not how it really works. NERO, like everyone else, has gone to a yearly subscription to suck out more money. With this promotion they remove the yearly limitation and let you use this version, 2020, as long as you desire. However, they will not upgrade to later versions. So after a few years of updates they will stop supporting this version. Then in a few more years after your operating system keeps upgrading, it will just stop working. This is simply how Nero always use to work until they got so greedy..

If the outdated codecs don't stop you first.
That said, if a company is staying up on codecs and customizing to new devices and higher resolutions (decode & encode), that requires investment and subscriptions are a way to continually support that development. If a company squanders the revenue and doesn't advance the product, drop them.

I haven't needed to burn a disc in years, but that downloader is interesting. Anyone have experience with it?

NERO is so bloated now. Back in the day NERO Burning was great.
Some people wonder who burn discs anymore?
I've been archiving Home Movies, Pictures and Slides to Blu-ray for some time now.
50gb dics are so cheap.
I use ASHAMPOO which can be purchased for $18.00.

NERO is still around? Back to the 2000s we go! Freeware options are better than these now.

I get offers from different resellers on this software weekly. This is NOT a deal. The lowest offer I have received by email has been $29.99 with additional other random software licenses
