90% of the US market is owned by Luxttoica, which is practically a monopoly, that explains the markup. I don't know how many frames the 1st poster as ordered, but I have purchased 8 in the last year, and the quality is top notch, and the price is low because they cut out the middle man opticians and make it in Hong Kong. I can't explain the prevailing mentality that coalesces that getting something for cheap means that you've gotten an inferior product.

I have ordered glasses from Zenni several times. The frames are not as high quality compared to my local optician but the lenses are of equal quality which is very good. Excellent value for what you get. Their sunglass and progressive lenses are terrific.

This is a great deal for those of us who prefer 'fancy' lens (e.g., high index, multi-focal, transitions etc). There are often sales on frames, or flat dollar off deals, but 20% the cost of their already reasonable lens prices really makes a difference.
I've ordered at least 10 pairs of Zenni glasses, and have not been disappointed.

Tried them and googles4u and found zenni much better (actually have vision insurance thrown in with my dental, their providers have the highest prices in the country and with the insurance portion deducted it still comes to two to three times what zenni and the other online outfits cost, so its a joke). Ordering a second pair from zenni thanks to this post.
