Genuinely curious, the lowest Ive seen a new 11 inch for is $650, this refurb at $580 seems like a good deal, why do you think it isn't?
Likely because it's a refurb, not enough savings for most people to take that kind of risk. If it was a refurb direct from Apple I would be all over it myself, but anywhere else and it becomes sketchy and not worth the hassle, IMO.

These aren't "refurbished". They're "renewed" and are sold by 3rd party vendors. That means they are used products that are submitted to Amazon. An amazon tech looks at it and deems it "sellable" but since it can't be labeled refurbished they are called a new term. "Renewed".
This seems to be a good deal because you can return it within 90 days. Also, you can check the remaining Apple warranty period once you get it. Since this is the most recent version, this still could be in warranty. I recently bought a renewed robot vacuum from Amazon and it was like new. Super happy.

Amazon renewed are serviced by BuySPYR, which sells refurbs also on urlhasbeenblocked, ebay, walmart etc.
THESE WILL NOT HAVE ANY APPLE WARRANTY. They only come with 90 day warranty from seller or amazon.
I have bought twice from this seller and checked the serial number with apple. Though the condition is indistinguishable from brand new ones. Comes plastic wrapped like new.
Based on Amazon reviews it appears that some buyers have display artifacts and defects. It could be that on some of these, the seller, "buySPRY", might have replaced the screens as part of the renewal? That would be bad if they use inferior parts.
