Nice little travel router, and also nice to play with OpenWRT.

Couple with this amp.

And this Alfa antenna:

Be careful about antennas. There are some cheap imitations, that probably will work, but the quality is not good. I've had good luck with Alfa. If you order and Alfa, and it doesn't say Alfa on it, then return it. In any case, don't expect the magnet to be strong.

Glue this to the antenna base magnet.

OP, Can you update your post to include the coupon is now 35% off and also include this router: https://www.amazon.com/GL-iNet-GL...B015CYDVG8

These devices are superb travel routers and support things like MAC cloning, captive portal login (for cruise ships you can share your single subscription with others), VPN (wireguard and OpenVPN), ability to reset and enable features by using the button and switch (hold for 4 seconds to reset network settings, > 10 secs to reset to factory), flip switch to enable/disable VPN. Gl.inet firmware is feature-packed and overlaid on top of OpenWRT. I have multiples if these for various occasions.

Does this need to constantly be connected to a power source?

Thanks for posting, from your link I found a different model from same manufacturer & seller (300Mps wifi with antennas) and bought that for not too much more. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01K6MHRJI
