The IAP for Civilization VI is on sale for $4.99, the lowest it appears to have been.

Rise and Fall DLC is also on sale for $14.99

This seems like a great price for the full game.

IAP -- Daaammn total to a little under $90. These $4.99 here and there add up. I was calculatIng the asymptote if one really got into the franchise and bought as u go.

These "full game" + dlc reminds me of shareware. But calling it "full game" when it is shareware or a starter pack makes it easier to gouge your wallet.
Well the full game is $5. Last year for the holidays they gave away all of the civ pack IAPs for free. Its the full PC game on iPad so they are pricing the IAPs like PC. I'd rather that than the spin-off crappy revolution series Civ had for mobile and console, that's for sure.

Yeah. Expansion packs have always been a mainstay, but Civilization V started the trend with around 13 map and scenario packs, in addition to the usual two expansions.

I'd argue it isn't as egregious as The Sims, which had eight EPs and 10 "stuff packs" for The Sims 2 and later removing the "hot tub" in the base game for The Sims 3 which had been included in the prior two games.

This is a full, complete game without those DLCs.

100% optional.
