Are these a class up from all those Asus and MSI deals that seem to frequent SD? Like the GS65.

Better build quality? I hate all the Chinese plastic and cheap parts. Miss the build of say an EVGA SC15

This is actually a really nice deal on this laptop. The photos show that the entire keyboard is RGB lit but from what I understand the new 9th gen processor models do not have the secondary key symbols on the number row lit up. I ordered one and will see once it comes in tomorrow. From all the reviews, this is a really nice machine, just make sure you use a cooling pad for extended periods of gaming. I love the fact that it has a wide port selections including a UFS 2 super fast SD card reader AND has 2 PCIE vNME slots. I dual run windows for some gaming and Linux for productivity and work so having the ability to add 64gb of total ram and 2 NVME drives to completely separate the two operating systems is a win. At $1600 for all that, with a powerful i7 (i9 would be way too hot in this slim body) this is an awesome package! I am hoping that the LG screen is indeed as color accurate as they say since I will be offloading a lot of photos from the SD card out of my DSLR onto this machine! Woohoo!

None of these brands you listed are Chinese and the GS65 is made of aluminum.
