just in case you're on the fence and you miss it, this drive is this price every few weeks, most recently like last week, the drive is a few years old, and I wouldn't be surprised if the price continued to drop.Search firecuda in SD deals and you will see.
Same here, one in both my regular PS4 and Pro, it's as fast as these consoles are ever going to get. Tested a 2GB Samsung SSD in the Pro and it was no faster.
Great drive ! And it works as an internal for PS4 non Pro & Pro. Pro utilizes the full speed of this drive. I have one installed, and it's been solid for almost 2 years now.

2.5 inch drive, so it's supported in most laptops right?

I ordered 3 myself. 1 for my PS4 and 2 as spares, maybe use with enclosures. The deal was too good to pass up. The standard 2.5-inch 2tb cuda never really goes on sale and stays at about $70, so $60 for the SSHD which comes with a 5-year warranty is a great deal.

I think this 2tb version is the highest of Seagates 2.5's that actually fit most laptops and consoles (PS4). Once you get up to the Barracuda 2.5 4tb drives, things get iffy because they are a lot thicker. I would check the spec sheet for your laptop to verify.

I recently bought an HP Omen, but it only came with a 256GB SSD so i need another HDD for additional space.

This info swayed me to pull the trigger on this and not a samsung ssd at twice the price

For those who are putting this in their ps4s. How difficult was the install?

Depends on the use but I wouldn't use SSD for backup unless cost/space isn't an issue platter drives are still great as backup if retrieval speed isn't a must and offer a lot more space for less.

Keep in mind these are Hybrid if the ssd part starts to fail it will render the drive useless as it won't function without the SSD part.

I would rather spend the extra on an SSD and keep the old drive to swa pl back in.As you can always get an external case and use it for storage for something else like the PS5 which will surely eat hard drive space.

I agree. It's a feature you don't need for an archival drive and just something else to go wrong.
