Mod Note - Shop doesn't appear to exist anymore. I didn't remove this thread since it looks like some people bought from them and leaving it here so they or others who may have bought may discuss. I'm removing the link from the OP though.

I bought this but the PayPal payment went to Chinese character recipient. Is this a source of genuine Fitbit products or replicas?

We saw Slick Deals on TV so we thought we could trust these sellers. We bought 2 yesterday. Then we got a regular email confirmation and then a chinese confirmation saying pay pal. Not sure if this is a trusted place to buy this or not??? Not sure why Slick Deals would allow it in their site if it wasn't trusted?!

Not yet, but since we paid with PayPal, I opened a dispute in their Resolution Center, which prompted these people to at least send some tracking information. Of course, the shipping details were last updated four days ago now, and it still shows our Fitbits are somewhere in China, but we have an estimated delivery date of Dec.18-20 (after purchasing them on Nov. 27!). Fingers crossed...

My shipment is now close by (also have open PayPal dispute) but I already purchased from Rakuten the same fitbit. Is it better to refuse delivery or use PayPal return shipping refund (up to $30). Which shipping method gives reliable tracking back to China?

Not sure about return shipping (we also purchased backups/replacements, but from Kohl's so they'd be easy to return in case these jokers actually come through), but my "estimated delivery" dates keep getting bumped. First it was Dec. 16-18, then Dec. 18-20, and now today it's Dec. 19-21. All the while, the "current location" (China) hasn't changed since the 13th, and my dispute window with PayPal ends on the 23rd. I'm beginning to think these people are just stringing things along until time runs out on what little recourse I might have...

So, our Fitbits have been "arriving at the Chicago, IL International Distribution Center" every couple of days for more than a week now (we live in a Chicago suburb). Consequently, PayPal keeps bumping the date for the resolution of our dispute. I don't know how this fake Chinese seller is able to manipulate shipping data like this, but we're obviously being strung along. In eight days, I could've WALKED to the distribution center and retrieved the package myself...

If it has been 20 days since the last tracking update and no delivery yet, you should call PayPal and they will, if the rep is nice enough, decide the case in your favor. This just happened to me so I am all set with my refund.

That's one of the biggest problems - they kept "updating" - literally - the tracking information on a daily basis, even though the package wasn't really going anywhere (see my earlier post). This has prompted PayPal to keep bumping the resolution date. And even though the package (supposedly) reached Chicago back on Christmas Eve, with the tracking info last updated 5 days ago, PayPal has continued to push back the resolution a little more each day. Again, these were paid for way back on 11/27, and the dispute was opened on 12/3!

Could you provide the number you called to talk to a PayPal representative? I'm really glad that you've already got your refund - both for you, and because it gives me hope we'll get ours as well. Thanks!

The normal 800 number from the contact us page. It seems that in your case there are recent tracking updates? Mine is stuck in customs USPS facility and likely will never make it here.
