The Penn Pursuit fishing combo has gone for $50. So for $13 more you could have gotten a rod out of the deal and chose any size reel you wanted. Walmart sold these reels for $32 for ages, as their standard price. I would check your local brickseek.
Personally I always found the Pursuit 3 to be a pretty crappy reel that is easily replaced with the Battle 2 for very little more. The Pursuit is the bottom of the barrel when it comes to Penn reels.
Anyone looking for a cheap freshwater combo should go with the GX2 combo for $30-$40 from Walmart and countless other locations. Anyone looking for a cheap saltwater combo should look at the Penn Battle II which I've seen go as low as $67 for the combo in 4000 at Sam's club. You could also find the Reel itself for the $55-$65 mark.
