I bought two "refurbished" Wii U systems from GameStop from the last deal and they both had problems. I had to return them and get a "used" one. I would avoid GameStop returb because they didn't seem to have the best "refurb" process. Not to mention the systems were pretty grimey with dirt in the controls.
My takeaway is just buy a new system just for the fact of not having to deal with this.
Type Preowned xbox one in the search box. There were a few others ones available. There are some with old games for a little extra.
I picked up Item# 101371 for $99.99 and used my 20% cashback from Samsung Pay.
Samsung Pay app on Samsung phones. It's too late unless the 20% cashback was saved in the app because the 20% is now gone. There's a 12% now. Others may see more or less on there accounts.
This is Gen 1, which is no longer supported by Microsoft service centers. An update bricked mine 6 months ago and they couldn't do anything.
I did a fresh install to the hard drive and nothing. Buy an S and save the trouble.
Why not throw another $100 for a brand new, smaller form with 4K capability? Personally i don't see it as an exciting deal
Because it's twice as much money, size isn't necessarily an important factor, and most people are still rocking 1080p TVs? Also, maybe people just need to replace their dying xbox, plan on buying Scarlet, and don't want to spend more than they have to?
Or else, hell, why not just spend an additional $200, buy an Xbox One X and have 4k gaming capability? It's only $300...
Your argument is why not pay twice as much for something with a feature the vast majority of people have no use for, is (pointlessly) smaller, and is (also pointlessly) "brand new?" If saving $100 means that little to you, wtf are you doing on Slickdeals?
You didn't get the point. If it's the same model (not in this case), professional refurbished by manufacturer (not in this case), then even $50 saving is better than this

I'm still using this ... works just fine on any new game I throw at it.

They do not .. not sure why original Xbox one sell $99? Even on eBay? Specially when you can buy 1s for $ 114 minus $30 master card bonus
