Decent deal, but weren't these like $60 at BB last year?

Edit: nvm it was the Inissia model I think.

No. But it's been this price at Bloomingdales several times this year. With that said this does come with kohls cash. However these use proprietary caps. I cancelled because of this.

Was just looking at the milk frothers yesterday. I thought this one was $99 and then I got the lavazza blue expression machine for $50 last time around so I assume at least $50 for the nesspresso to. Seems like a good deal!

Yeah, good deal (especially if you can use the Kohl's cash) but there's a much wider range of capsules for the original line. Their patents have been expiring. AFAICT Vertuo's sole reason for existing is to extend the life of their proprietary capsules.

"But critics say the "intelligent extraction" technology, in which each coffee pod has a bar code, is in fact a clever, or ruthless, way to protect what's been a stranglehold on the booming market for single-serve coffee pods, which were protected by patents. ...

With the barbarians at the gate, both Nespresso and Green Mountain are scrambling to introduce new technologies to their platforms that will be eligible for patent protection."

Original is espresso only.

The coffee these things make is incredible.

Original can make a "lungo," which has much more water. Add frothy milk. Or hit the espresso or lungo button again to get an Americano.

But yeah, sure, if that's too hard lock yourself into Vertuo. Nespresso will thank you.

The coffee from this machine is incredible. This beats Keurig easily in taste & strength but the Pods are expensive. If you are OK with spending about $1.00 per pod, get this! I buy my Pods at Amazon cheaper than the Nespresso website.

Looking to buy pod coffee maker that can also use the filters, wife forcing for Keurig, but reviews are hit or miss.
Can this use any brand pods or can only use from their line of pods ?

The coffee is no better than the Original, which is good. No need to pay $1 a pod.

Choose a Nespresso Original machine if...
You're a dedicated espresso, cappuccino or latte drinker.
You'll get a wider choice of coffee options to choose from, better budget options, and a more true espresso experience. We've found some brilliant Nespresso Original machines from around £80.

Choose a Nespresso Vertuo machine if...
You're a fan of longer coffees and usually opt for an Americano or filter coffee.

This is amazing deal.

What I like is can use my KC on an item that's excluded from %off coupons but it's already discounted to the lowest price we've seen this year (the aforementioned bloomingdale deal)z

This allows for maximum utility of the KC. For example, if you bought Powerbeats Pros for $250, you'd get $75 KC all of which dollar for dollar can be applied to this deal, as opposed to other items where the KC applies before %off, making $75KC worth only about $50.
