Best deal I've found on the 65" TCL for Black Friday. Costco has the 2018 6 series for $599. But at this price point, that's over $200 more for some deeper blacks. No thanks.

Actually I disagree. Series 6 had way better contrast and colors. Picture is cleaner and tv is faster. I got the 6 series a while ago and I love it! The 4 series is a good starter 4k tv and this IS a good deal if you dont have the $ to get the 6.
It depends:

Do you watch a lot of 4k HDR content? Do you notice the great picture on the OLED TVs in the store when walking by? Do you watch modern movie vs old shows?

If you answer yes to these than the 6 series is worth the extra money. It really is a better picture.

But if you just watch tv, cable, dish etc and want a solid picture in a good TV then the 4 or 5 series is absolutely fine. The picture is good as long as you are not critical. The 6 series is just a step above in picture quality, moving from low end to mid pack.

Just don't worry, low end picture quality today is still pretty dam good.

Personally I own a 55" and 65" 6 series and could not be happier. I recommend the TCL TVs to anyone.
Actually do you want to just drive or enjoy the ride? Same with a tv...do you want to have it turn on and play or see the difference?

Good deal. 6 Series is not worth the extra $220.

Why do some people have to ask the same question? If money is no issue, buy the 6 series.

It depends on who you are. You can dislike my comment or like it but if you don't care about picture quality and brightness, the 4 series is fine. The 6 series overall wins when it comes to contrast ratio, peak brightness, and HDR capability.

Nope. Wrong answer. Why do you buy Toyota instead of Lexus?? That's more expensive. Toyota easily covers what you need. It takes you from point A to point B without any problem.

What so good about the 6 series compared to the 4 and 2 series?? Is it really a big upgrade for $200 more??

I owned a 4 series and that's more of a Daewoo than Toyota.
