Costco have 2 pks of 128G for $35.
There is only one way for it to happen, and it is if you use SanDisk's proprietary SD card reader to see those speeds. Otherwise, it will be very similar to all the other U3 cards.

It's a fantastic card, but once you start getting to this level, you get diminishing returns in spades. You'll pay 30%-50% more for this card for <10% write performance different, and the read-speeds are completely unobtainable in any device that is reading at UHS-I except for their proprietary reader.
How does a UHS I card go faster 104MB/s? (The package says 170MB/s.)
I bought one and it only has the single row of connectors. I measured it a minute ago as about 80-90MB/s for both read and write. That's about what I would expect with the setup I used.

Read speed on these are +70MB/s faster on read than the Samsung. Also a Lifetime warranty vs 10 year for the Samsung. Not that we'll probably use these for 10 years, but hey, you never know right?

Amazon has same pricing on lightning deal for Prime members right now plus the 5% back if using their credit card.
I couldn't find it on Amazon. All that pulls up is the Extreme's, not the Extreme Plus's. There's a 30MB/s Read speed difference between the two models, Plus's being faster.

Looking for a deal on 256GB micro SD card for FIRE TV box to feed my hungry KODI app. Any suggestions and, or will the Samsung SD card work?

Thanks!

* For 64GB-1TB: Up to 170MB/s read speeds, engineered with proprietary technology to reach speeds beyond UHS-I 104MB/s, require compatible devices capable of reaching such speeds.
