What do you mean overkill? I do not understand. Did my wife put you up to this?!
Why not just return the other one as well and profit more at Home Depot's expense...seems legit right?

Actually, instead of jumping through so many hoops to steal from Home Depot, you might as well just outright steal from them.

Depends on if the guy that works on your car bought one of those street legal thunder guns or not.

81 volts and these clowns can only produce 300ft/lbs? Weak.

In all seriousness, seems like a good deal for the average home user who's invested in Ryobi. I'd jump on this if I wasn't fully in on Milwaukee. I was hoping for a M18 wrench deal, but haven't seen anything yet.

Haha, dyslexia is a real thing lol

Yes. The average torque setting of lug nuts are 100 ft/lbs. The 1/2" is rated 300ft/lbs.

To dive in a little deeper. Manufacturers torque ratings/test can differ, plus their wording is just as important in the decision making such torque rating vs "brake away torque". The 1/2" is rated at 300ft/lbs, but I'm assuming the brake away torque will be more, which is what's needed to get those lug nuts loose. I think even the 3/8" impact will be enough as we'll.

As a pair of bare tools this is a pretty good deal as the P261 is $119 bare or $99 with 4AH and P263 is $79. Pairing these with the $99 starter kit + 2 tools I scored earlier this month.

is it overkill for home use to have both 1/2 and 3/8? isnt the 1/2" good enough and use adapter.

regardless this still is a good deal i believe for tool only.

Ryobi needs to release new brushless versions with more power to catch up to all the competition. I believe there is a brushless 1/2 overseas but shockingly it still only does 300 ft lb.

It is useful, but not completely necessary, to have both. However, I typically pair my 1/2" impact with a 3/8" ratchet (Milwaukee) so I can switch back and forth easily while doing auto work. Waiting personally for a steal on the Milwaukee 3/8" stubby and I'll have the perfect set up.

This is a solid deal tho.

Don't really understand the need for a 3/8 impact wrench. I have the 1/2 inch Ridgid version brushless and it is great. I'd think when you want an impact wrench you want to have some power on tap. The 3/8 in this case isn't that much physically smaller or anything. Don't get why you would need both
