Purchased the bulbs earlier today as a standalone for $19.95, however I will be returning as i could not get them to offer any other color other then a variation of white...the WIZ application that is to be used as the controller is very low level...anyway I will be returning and continue my search on the internet for a good wireless color bulb
I just bought some hue and wiz bulbs throughout this black Friday weekend for the first time ever and I'm not sure what all the negative reviews are about when it comes to wiz.
The bulbs have synced perfectly to my Google home network and my daughter loves saying "hey Google, turn my lamp pink." these work perfectly, even better than the hues if I'm being honest.

If you have a costco membership, they have a two pack of feit electric bulbs for only $15. Picked them up today and they are amazing. The UI and the google assistant integration is great. My only gripe is the 1 second delay on the app to bulb response, and that the color modes are not as bright as plain white light.

Did you sync directly to the google home app or did you have to use their wiz app first?
I've got about 15 wiz bulbs in the house. No issues with the app. Have them connected with alexa and Google home and custom stuff with iftt.
Only thing to remember that these are wifi. If you power them off from a switch, then you need to wait 30-60 seconds from when you power them until you can control them with the app. They need a minute to connect to wifi and get back on board.
But yea.. If you try to use the app the second you power them on, you'll have a bad time.
Otherwise no issues with the app. Changes are instant. Alexa /Google /iftt works great

I've had an identical experience.
