for $114.99 i will give it a try. prefer the better contrast of va panels over ips, but i am a sucker for glossy. i have two 25 inch HP monitors now that have glossy screens. i do not like matte screens. only reason i bought this is because it is glossy. some of us actually prefer glossy coated screens.

basic 60hz. not super high performance monitor. the appeal for me is that it is flat, not curved, it is glossy, not matte, 32 inch is perfect size, and it is cheap. i actually bought two. i will use one in the kitchen as a tv monitor, so full hd resolution 1920x1080 will be fine.

1080p at 32 inch? Maybe that works for some, but clear pass on my end. People complain about that resolution for 27', so keep that in mind.

Lol. I have a 34" inch ultra wide 1080 that looks amazing. You know, there is not a ton of content out there that make those higher res monitors that noticeably different. Unless you're doing some hardcore gaming with an expensive rig that you wouldn't be looking at this monitor in the first place you don't need it. People get stuck on this and it is soooooo silly to me. Most don't need or wouldn't notice a difference above 1080. Like I said, unless you're doing hardcore gaming which you would be looking at a different monitor anyway or editing high quality res films, there is not much of a point. And people commenting trying to discourage people sucks. It kills me when I see people pass on great deals because they think it needs to be some super high res they would never even use based on what they are doing.

It's not about the content, it's about seeing the pixels on the screen. If you sit at a close distance (as is the case with most monitors) you'll see pixelation, regardless of the content quality.

I wouldn't want someone to buy this only to be unhappy with the pixel density later.

I agree. This is fine for a TV display, but not for a PC display viewed from 18" away. A 32" display should be at least QHD resolution IMHO otherwise you don't really get any more content on screen than you would a (e.g.) 24" 1080 display...you just get the same content bigger.; unless you mess with the aspect ratio, but that can have some negative effects.

That is what I intend to use this for. As a TV in my kitchen. So resolution and desktop viewing space is not paramount in my application. 1080p will be fine from several feet away.

Dark glossy glass screens look classier when the screen is off. Matte screens look plasticy cheap to me. Also glossy screens preserve blacks/contrast and colors better in a bright room than matte.

IPS will not have best blacks in the dark (it will glow gray), but for kitchen viewing there is typically plenty of light in the room, and it will be situated in such a manner that reflections will not be an issue.

If I did not require a flat and glossy screen, there would be many other options out there, but I just cannot stand matte screens. Glossy screens (at least effective ones) are sharper and pop more.

I hope this is just a larger 32 inch, brighter version of my 25 inch 1080p HP monitors which are used as small TV's in lit rooms. (I have two in my kitchen).

My complaint of my several years old 25 inch HP's is they are not all that bright. This one looks to be much brighter.

I read all the reviews and most people seem quite satisfied. No complaints about smearing or ghosting.

Would be nice if had built-in speakers (even cheap ones), but oh well, I have external I can use.

Glad to know 85015 code is still working today for those who want this deal.
