Why so angry? Even worse is you completely misinterpreted that poster's comment which wasn't related to tax. His/her point was that final price out of your pocket is what matters when comparing if something is a good deal broadly against other vendors. You would think this is obvious but it isn't. Vendors like Kohl's and BBB constantly and largely discount stock and get sued frequently (sometimes class action) for overstating MSRP. It is in these cases that a % discount is far less important since the list price was greater to begin with.

I'm not angry- you might wanna spend less time on facebook if you think everyone typing is angry. If I were angry it would be directed at taxes and in a letter to my congress man. Damn it- now I need to write my congressman.
Also the math he posted is for 10% off and works out to being correct.
Of course correct me if I'm wrong- it's the internet so feel free to correct me if I'm right and tell me I'm wrong.
