I have this and it's so underpowered. Was working on the deck and it's really hard to make clean cuts as the blade is constantly getting stuck. Bought a Craftsman 5.5" saw instead and the difference was night and day. Bigger saw was smooth as butter.

Bought this and used it for a few projects. Loved it but had to sell it because I went with Ryobi 18v. The 18v included a 5 1/2" circular saw which is very compact but at the same time has very good cutting power. This Worx unit kicked back too much for my taste but was awesome for its portability.

Yeah I wouldn't suggest using this to build a deck, especially if your using treated lumber. Your standard skill saw well even to cut treated.

If you only own one saw you don't want this to be it. I consider it more of a specialty tool.

I've got the Rockwell version and it's good for making clean plunge cuts in tight places, like up against walls or inside cabinets .

I was misled by positive Amazon reviews from "handywomen" and my husband's concern I would cut my leg off so thought this smaller tool would be a good place to start. I ended up returning it because 1. Kickback is a real concern. When underpowered, it just can't get a good start in the wood and so jumps all over nicking shit 2. If you hit a knot in the wood, forget it. You might as well get out a nail file.
