Planet Fitness $99 for 1 Year Membership YMMV

Planet Fitness runs this promotion for select clubs usually once per year around this time. Deal expires Dec 31 for my specific location.

I get this deal every year it comes around and can say with 100% certainty that you do not get charged an annual fee, you do not get charged an initiation fee, and most importantly, you do not have to give them any bank account information. Simply pay $99 plus tax with cash, credit card, whatever, and you're set for the year, no risk of them charging random fees.
I post this thread with the expectation that we will get the multiple "planet fitness sucks" posts that contribute nothing to the conversation. While there is some valid complaint about their policies and certain facilities, it is my experience that the clubs vary quite a bit with equipment and how they operate. For instance the "lunk alarm" never sounds at my place, and free weight dumbbells go up to 75 pounds which is plenty for most people. Planet Fitness is generally a clean gym that the every day person can go work out. I will agree it is NOT for serious weight lifters. It's just simply not what PF is trying to accomplish in pleasing their clientele.

Just wanted to add info, even the offer dint shown me online. I went into the GYM and they given me this offer yesterday and i happily took it. Was told that gyms deliberately dont put this offer online and every club should give you this membership mostly if you go to the gym and talk to them... Hope this helps.. I tried this in PA.

So I will see if a gym near me will offer the $99/year in the next 2 weeks, and if not, go with the company discount one.
Does that mean you can access the PF website with your own individual member log in?
I ask because my work will reimburse me $20 a month if I can print out an activity log that I've gone at least 12 times that month. If it is possible to obtain the local gym's log in and activity, then the Active&Fit comes out to $5 a month after my reimbursement which is a no brainer for be to join.

Yes. Any gym on the list, you just go to that chain and sign up (included with your $25/mo to Active&Fit, just need to sign up and sign waivers at each chain. You can do as many on the list as you want. I go to LA Fitness, EOS, Gold's Gym, Crunch, and Planet Fitness. I rotate them out depending on the working I'm doing, how busy I think they'll be, and where I am at the time (often traveling for work).
I can't speak for blink but the only issue I have with PF (and it's not that big of a deal) The only free weights they have are dumbbells up to about 75 pounds. They dont have barbells but they have Smith machines. So if you can work with that your good to go.
