Found these on clearance here in Texas yesterday. (Photo attached) They had two so I bought both of them for my boys. They are the PC version but you can buy the RIG 800HX Wireless Receiver for Xbox One to make them work with an X-box One on ebay for $10.

Looking for nice surround sound headphones for movie watching- don't see any reason to have home theater speakers if I'm only one watching usually.

While I agree with your physics, I have used some headphones that were quite amazing.
Disneyland had some sort of headset for their theater (some Lincoln show?) where I could have sworn my hair was being cut by the way it sounded.
Have been chasing comparable consumer pair ever since.

I can second this. Been using my pair for 2-3 years now. You can wear these puppies for hours without it hurting the side of your head. It has a dial to be able to adjust in game volume over chat as well. Very nice. Sounds amazing.
