Depends on what they are doing. If they are doing drafting or design work they might be better off with a precision workstation.

Still not know it has IPS or not and the small battery is very concerned.

I went for it. You can get 10% CB. This has windows pro, and you can self upgrade the RAM. Plus it has USB-C with DP (Good for a docking station) and a dedicated GPU... all in all it should be a nice machine. Nothing too flashy, but suitable for college or business use.

Is the RAM upgradeable?

EDIT: Nevermind, appears it is.

WVA stands for Wide Viewing Angle, which indicated it's a TN panel.

Wow, this looks great! would like to know if there is an open slot for an additional sata3 SSD. Some good specs for a mid range very thin laptop.

Based on this review, yes there's room for an additional SSD drive

https://laptopmedia.com/review/de...ikes-back/

I'm still wondering about that panel being TN or IPS as that review doesn't mention anything about a screen with 1920 x 1080 as anything other than an IPS panel.

It's a special offer that would be listed under your card's offer tab. Anyway, I just bought this and already got a confirmation from AMEX. Also hopefully getting the 10% back from R---ten.
