these must of sold really well as all of my stores have tons of stock on clearance plus there is only one review on lowes.com. i know when i think of going shopping for a new skateboard i automatically think of lowes...this is a good price...

I'm sure it doesn't help that it's under the folding furniture sets either !!

I have a 7 year old with a birthday coming up. Would this be a good board for him to learn on?

I would think so - any long board is good as starter. And if he doesn't like it, you can ride it.

If they're 7 I would get them a penny board. They're light, fast, and easy to learn on. Why would you make your poor 7 year old lug this around?

Just a heads up. The model number listed on Lowe's website is for the yellow board. The BLACK board number is not shown . Black is 2201390. So most likely these are all yellow, even though black is shown on Lowe's pictures.
