I'm not sure if this was targeted or not. It was an offer under my Marriott Chase credit card account. You get $900 cash back when you open a checking and savings account through the link. Sure the interest rates are crap...but once you get your $900 after 3 months, you can close accounts and move elsewhere. Seems like a killer deal...unless I'm missing something?

Person to Person payments (such as Chase QuickpayĀ® with ZelleĀ®) are not considered a direct deposit. After you have completed all the above checking requirements, we'll deposit the bonus in your new account within 10 business days. To receive the extra $400 bonus: You must open the checking and savings account at the same time and complete all requirements above for BOTH the checking bonus and savings bonus. After you have completed all requirements, we will deposit the remaining bonus due in your new checking account within 10 business days."
Setup a direct deposit of $500 a month or have a balance of over $1500 to avoid fees on checking. And maintain balance of over $300 on savings to avoid fees.

I am just saying if you are in a situation where you can't find $15k in liquidity, why not spend your time making actual money doing something else instead of browsing an internet forum trying to get a few hundred dollars from opening a checking or savings account at a bank.
These are one time deals where you have to keep an account open for a finite amount of time or risk getting hit with fees. I doubt anyone is making a living off of them. Just my 2 cents.
Why are you even on a "Deals" website with that elitist attitude? Oh wait, you like saving money and getting free things like the rest of us "plebs"....
Happy Holidays to All!!!

People these days don't seem to want to work for anything, they feel like they are owed something.
As the rates lower, you might notice that banks are less willing to give out bonuses to folks that aren't depositing money.

This is a deals site and SOMETIMES people like to get free things! I know, foreign concept for you.
Its trivial for me to go into the payroll software and replace my bank temporarily with a new one to meet bonus direct deposit requirements. Yeah, its only a few hundred dollars but its free and worth it for some.
Just because its not worth it for you, doesn't mean its not worth it for others. Im not sure where the job insult came from but you could not be further from the truth.

You're so concerned with being offended right now you aren't even reading what I am typing. No one ever addressed you personally, so seriously, take off.
