I think you can do it.

"Hey baby, there was a game I was really wanting, but Nintendo (fill in the blank). Would you mind if I could set up my account then box it back up?"

You might as well do the updates while you have it open and it will likely require it. Thank her, hook her up with a foot and/or back massage in the not too distant future. Everybody's good.

Think OOS at most places when looking for the physical. They are not manufacturing anymore copies and known shortages

So apparently Nintendo won't let you buy a Switch game until you have it set up and registered with them. My wife bought me one for xmas but I can't open it until then. Was hoping to pick this up and play when I open it but apparently you can't...

Yeah it sucks... My friend was able to borrow someone else's system, created an account on there, and buy games. If that's possible you could try that?

$15 on Steam. Less, but obviously not portable. May be worth the extra $5 for convenience.

This game has been very stubborn with its price. It rarely goes on sale, and when it does, the discounts have been pretty low. This is an all-time low on Switch by quite a bit, percentage wise. Good deal for a great game though.

Dang, I haven't gotten my Switch from Black Friday yet. This is one of my favorite series' of all time, and even though I bought it on GOG this morning, I'd buy it for Switch just for the portability.

Yea, I just bought it on steam since I didnt want to miss out on the deal. Can still play on TV via Shield, but will miss out on the portability.

If you plan on doing account sharing with her, u can just buy it on ur account and it'll be available for download on her system as well! That's how I did it cuz I had the same issue with my girlfriend, and this way all digital games u buy on ur account she will have access to and vise versa Smilie

I thought "oops I got this confused with wonder boy and thought it was related to that" only to then go to the link and see it's indeed by the wonder boy creator. lol

I always thought wonder boy was basically the same as alex kidd, just looking at screens from it, but never played it.
