Insignia is Bestbuy's own brand. It has good reviews, and is the cheapest 8 Quart Pressure Cooker I can find. I wonder why many people haven't upvoted this deal yet?

The price is great for an 8 qt. The only thing holding me back is the nonstick pot. My current 6qt IP uses a stainless steel cooking pot. It's durable, never sticks, and easy to clean without concerns for the nonstick coating leeching into the food.

I personally have this from last sale they had. It's working great for me. At this price, I have no comment on nonstick cooking pot or lacking features compared to Instant Pot. If you just want a basic pressure cooker, go for it.

Thanks for sharing your experience with the unit. I was just about to chime in and ask for users with first hand knowledge their thoughts on these cookers 😄

Eh, that's why you don't use metal objects with this type of pot. They include plastic utensils for a reason.

Got it when it was 29.99 for 8 qt, love it, non stick would last a long time if not using metal utensils.

I've had a similar nonstick that I've used maybe 40-50 times and it's still as good as the day I bought it. It's not that hard to take care of nonstick

There was a breakdown posted on here a few years. Insignia/Bestbuy basically just slaps their name on products from other companies contracted to manufacture that model. A lot of these pressure cookers from various brands (including Instant Pot) all use the same Chinese manufacturing company and are basically selling slight variations of a largely similar unit. You will notice similarities between units like the digital readout/keypad, lid, etc.

Long story short, with this Insignia pressure cooker, you're essentially getting a unit for half (or more) off than you would pay for an almost exact same unit from a more 'prestigious' brand.

It's quite the value. And for those apprehensive about the non-stick inner pot (I don't like them either), you can get a cheap stainless steel one from various outlets like Ebay and Amazon and this will still be considered a good deal.

That does not make it bad. Most other manufactures of stuff are the same thing. They just slap brand names on products, but there is a mind thing that makes me trust a certain label over another despite both being the same quality.
