Great price; lowest price ever; should be frontpage.
A few points to note:
1) Don't upgrade to the privacy filter screen, which degrades the screen quality regardless of whether you activate the filter or not.
2) the upgrade to 512 GB hard drive is overpriced
3) There is a 10th gen processor which comes with an upgraded model but it is so much more expensive. the 8th gen at $709 is a steal as long as you don't have to spend $100 to upgrade to 512 GB hard drive.
Because it's the last-gen Spectre x360. The newer one that was just released (10th gen Ice Lake, narrower bezels so smaller footprint, Precision touchpad, otherwise same basic specs) is $140 more. Probably worth the premium.

Not to mention HP has a 15% restocking fee if you change your mind.
Also, much like other mfg (Dell, Lenovo) direct orders, it's hit or miss to get before Christmas, which is important to some.

I bought the newer one with narrow bezels (Specter x360 13T 2019 model)
Has
4K OLED screen
512gb ssd
10th gen i7
Silver model
Total $1384 after taxes
I love the screen and the small form factor but I'm returning it. Couldn't adjust to the screen coming from a surface. My next device has to have a 3x2 aspect ratio.

HP's shipping dates for configurable laptops across the board are abysmal.
